Please prepare a 1 minute monologue and 16 bars of a song. If you plan on auditioning for the role of Annie please contact Ms. Skowronski at firstname.lastname@example.org
The fall play will be a wonderful drama with historical context and a connection to Literature, History, and even Science. The play is:
These Shining Lives by Melanie Marnich (Auditions in late August show in late October)
THE STORY: THESE SHINING LIVES chronicles the strength and determination of women considered expendable in their day, exploring their true story and its continued resonance. Catherine and her friends are dying, it’s true; but theirs is a story of survival in its most transcendent sense, as they refuse to allow the company that stole their health to kill their spirits—or endanger the lives of those who come after them. Based on the story of the Radium Girls
We try to create a theme for the shows and this years theme will be the time period, the fall play is set in the 20's and 30's so what better musical to pull from that period than:
Annie with book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse, and lyrics by Marin Charnin
(Auditions in mid November show in late February early March)
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
Its going to be a great year, can't wait to see you on the stage!

And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before–keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
